2026 - 2027 Alamosa Creates Arts Festival

The City of Alamosa is accepting entries for the 9th annual Alamosa Creates Arts Festival Art on Loan Program. This public art program is open to all professional and amateur artists. Artists may submit 1 artwork (with 3-5 images of that work) per application. Up to 2 applications per artists will be accepted.  Judging will take place March 2026 and 15 pieces will be selected based on their originality and suitability for outdoor display. Submissions must be more than two feet in height and valued at no more than $50,000. Applications are due by February 27, 2026. Selected artwork will remain on display for a one year period. Artists receive a $1,000 honorarium for selected artwork delivered by due date. Throughout the display period, community members will be asked to vote for a “People’s Choice" award. A prize of $1,000 will be awarded to the Artist whose work is selected.
