Policies

Data Ownership & Sovereignty

Artists retain full ownership of all data stored in ArtPortico.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Artwork records and metadata
  • Inventory and location history
  • Pricing, labels, and show documentation
  • Sales and reporting data

ArtPortico does not claim ownership over artist data and does not sell, license, or repurpose user data for advertising, training models, or third-party analytics.

At any time, Studio subscribers may export their complete dataset in a structured, machine-readable format.

Platform Philosophy

ArtPortico is intentionally non-social and non-algorithmic.

The platform does not:

  • Rank, promote, or suppress content
  • Use engagement metrics to influence visibility
  • Introduce algorithmic bias into artist workflows

ArtPortico exists solely as an operational system of record for working artists.

Subscription & Billing

ArtPortico is offered as a subscription service.

Billing occurs on a recurring basis according to the selected plan. Access to Studio-level features remains active through the end of the current billing period following cancellation.

There is currently no downgrade path between plans. Artists may cancel their subscription at any time.

Cancellation & Account Deletion

Upon cancellation:

  • The subscription remains active through the end of the billing period
  • Artists retain full access to export their data during this time

At the conclusion of the billing period:

  • The account is scheduled for deletion
  • All associated data is permanently removed from ArtPortico systems

Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.

Artists are encouraged to export their data prior to cancellation.

Data Retention & Security

ArtPortico stores data only as long as necessary to provide the service.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect stored data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

ArtPortico does not intentionally retain deleted data beyond standard backup lifecycles.

Changes to These Policies

ArtPortico may update these policies from time to time to reflect changes in functionality, legal requirements, or operational practices.

Material changes will be communicated through the platform.
