Kayenta Street Painting Festival 2026

WELCOME TO THE 2026 STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL! Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of chalk art at the annual Kayenta Street Painting Festival presented by the Center for the Arts at Kayenta. This year’s festival will showcase the incredible talents of professional street painting artists from the region and students throughout Washington County and surrounding counties. Witness the magic unfold as these artists bring the desert hues to life right before your eyes! 1. Only complete applications will be considered. Completed applications include all required responses in this form, up to five photographs of the artists' previous work, and all electronic signatures where requested. Kayenta Arts Foundation retains the right to use photographs and artwork submitted by the artist to Kayenta Arts Foundation for use in advertising and promotion of the event. 2. If selected, confirmation must be received no later than February 27th, 2026 to reserve your space. Alternate artists will be selected after the February 27th confirmation deadline to fill any unclaimed booth spaces. 3. Jury: A jury of Kayenta Art Village Managers & Owners will select participating booths. Selection will be made based on the photos submitted by the applicant. The quality of photos and accuracy of representation of the work is the responsibility of the applicant. Applicants will be notified of jury selection decisions by February 23rd,2026. Each artist selected by the jury will be given a $250 honorarium to participate. 4. Supplies: Each artist will be provided with a 48 pack of pastel chalk, with additional supplies available for purchase. Any other desired supplies must be provided by the artist. Pastel chalk is the only material permitted. The use of washable tempera only is allowed. The use of any other materials will disqualify you from the festival and future festivals. 5.
