Liberty, MO Rotating Sculpture Call Sept 2026-Sept 2027

The City of Liberty, MO Arts Commission invites artists to submit artwork proposals for the Sept. 2026- Sept. 2027 Public Art Sculpture Program.  The Arts Commission is seeking original, three-dimensional works of art to be displayed for a one-year period at pre-selected sites within Liberty’s downtown area.  Up to 9 sculptures will be selected for installation in September 2026.  The selected sculptures will be on display from September 2026 - September 2027.   All work entered must be freestanding and resilient to variant temperatures and outdoor elements as it will be displayed outdoors for long-term public display. If the artist needs assistance from City Staff to install the piece, the artist must provide proof of insurance.  Selected artists will receive a $2,000 honorarium. The City of Liberty has a purchase budget of $20,000.  Each application should only contain images of a single piece of art.
